On February 15, Goulburn Valley Health (GVH), a major regional referral centre in Shepparton in northern Victoria, went live with COMRAD Radiology Information System (RIS). The upgrade to COMRAD RIS will help GVH deliver the highest quality patient care and better business outcomes as it is set to simplify the workflow, enabling huge gains in efficiency through improved accuracy, automated delivery and secure reporting.
The COMRAD RIS and webCOMRAD were successfully integrated to the hospital Patient Administration System, Hospital Clinical System and the PACS systems. The project also involved migration of data from the previous RIS to the new system.
“We pride ourselves on delivering patient-centred care and we aim to enhance the patient experience through improved service access, developing partnerships, implementing innovative service models and ensuring workforce flexibility,” said Jacinta Russell, Divisional Director – Clinical Support Services at GVH. “We are excited to have COMRAD RIS live at our hospital, the Comrad RIS implementation process including installation, training and integration will help us increase efficiency and to deliver faster and better services to our patients.”
